1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Texas Valor Project is committed to ensuring that our website, texasvalorproject.org, is accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone who visits our site, regardless of ability, deserves a full and equal experience.
Our mission centers on serving veterans, first responders, and their families. Many of the individuals we serve may live with service-related disabilities. Accessibility is not just a compliance matter for us, it is a core expression of our respect and commitment to those we honor.

2. Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
We are actively working toward full conformance and continuously review and improve our website to address accessibility barriers. Where full conformance has not yet been achieved, we are committed to finding reasonable alternatives.

3. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of our website relies on the following technologies:

WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
Our website has been developed with semantic HTML structure, appropriate use of heading levels, text alternatives for non-text content, keyboard navigability, and sufficient color contrast to support readability.

Clear and consistent navigation structures
Keyboard-accessible menus, buttons, and forms

5. Known Limitations

Texas Valor Project assesses the accessibility of our website through the following approaches:
Self-evaluation using automated accessibility testing tools
